Sienna was born out of the need for a non-toxic nail polish in Byron Bay.

Founder Danielle originally planned on becoming a mobile nail technician, servicing the women of the Shire, with a small line of polishes to sell on the side. After purchasing a small nail polish making kit, and seeking the advice of a chemist friend, the first bottles of Sienna were created. The nail polish quickly became the primary focus, with Danielle finishing her nail technician training and transitioning straight into polish making.

The success of the brand is largely due to the incredibly supportive Byron Shire, and the warm welcoming at local markets in the beginning days. We launched at the Byron Beachside Markets in late 2014, with 13 nail polish colours- most of which have continued to be in our best-selling colours, even as we have expanded our palette to over 50 colours. At that same first market, we landed our first wholesale customer, and have steadily grown to now having stockists in over 20 countries worldwide.

Throughout the entire Sienna journey, it has been a main focus of Danielle’s to create a vibrant workplace for people to come together to thrive, grow and support one another- and she has built exactly that. Bringing you the Sienna magic every day is a small, close knit team of creative, methodical and energetic brains, all influencing what and how we deliver the Sienna message.
